We believe that the goal of our faith is to make every life an act of worship. We worship God through our gratitude, our attentiveness, our self-giving, and daily acts of kindness, mercy and justice. But, it all begins by setting aside time to gather as a community formed by the Spirit of Christ. We gather to pray, praise, give thanks and grow in our relationship to God. Worship services connect us to God and the longings of our hearts. They unite us as a community of faith and send us forth to be God’s people. Worship reminds us that we all BELONG in God’s family.
9:15 am Traditional Worship Service
Chancel Choir led by Mason Neipp
If you feel most connected to God in a service that includes beautiful choral music, traditional hymns with accompaniment on the organ and piano, and a liturgy of prayer and scripture, you will be at home in the Traditional Worship service at LGUMC. Our 9:15 a.m. Traditional Worship Service is a total experience that includes a warm welcome, music, visual arts, sermon and drama centered on the Word. Those who attend find that it centers them in the Spirit of God, spiritually re-charges them for the week ahead and teaches them how to live God’s love.

Kids at Church
We believe that children are an essential part of our church and that worship is the primary way that people of every age are formed in faith. We welcome children of every age to experience worship with their families. Each week a special Children’s Time is offered to help kids learn and live the faith. After Children’s Time, children are welcome to go to the nursery or Sunday School for the remainder of the service or stay in worship. For more information about Sunday School and Children’s Ministry please visit our Children’s Ministry page.
