Celebrate Wonder All Ages is a curriculum that honors the spiritual life of children. Celebrate Wonder All Ages will engage children in open-ended exploration and inquiry of the Bible. Through experiential activities, spiritual practices, and reflection, Celebrate Wonder All Ages serves as a biblical guide to help children make meaning for their lives. This curriculum seeks to deepen children’s faith formation and to create a safe space for children to ask big questions and claim their spiritual identity as children of God.

Peter
Matthew 16:13-20
Faith Word: Ministry
The story begins with Peter identifying who Jesus is. Peter knows Jesus as the Messiah by his faith in God. This is a clear distinction in the Gospel of Matthew. The name Peter means rock. Matthew is the only Gospel writer to use the term church, and in this story. Jesus believes Peter has strength to bare the foundation of his church. Peter will carry out Jesus’ teaching after the Resurrection. This leads him into ministry. Peter declares his faith in Jesus and will lead the people to faith.

Acts 9:36-43
Faith Word: Minstry
In this story Peter is traveling the countryside spreading the good news and witnessing. Peter is in Lydda when some believers summon him from Joppa. There was a disciple in Joppa named Tabitha. We are told that in Greek her name was Dorcas. Tabitha is known for her good works and charity. She had a ministry sewing for the widows in the community. Tabitha had become very I’ll and had died. Other disciples in Joppa had heard that Peter was in he town nearby. Peter’s reputation as a healer was well-known so they sent two people to fetch him Peter and urged him to come quickly.

He thought it was a dream, but when the angel vanished, he realized the power of God. After his realization, he went to Mary’s house.

Pentecost Acts 2:1-41
Faith Word: Ministry
Although as Christians we celebrate Pentecost as the “birthday of the church”—the day God sent the Spirit to the followers of Jesus—Pentecost is not a holiday that originated with Christianity. Pentecost occurred at the Jewish festival more commonly known as the Feast of Weeks. Pentecost was one of the three Pilgrimage feasts when Jews gathered in Jerusalem. Jesus had told the disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the gift of the Holy Spirit.
We had so much fun at the Easter Egg Hunt, we had about forty children and parents. Every child had a basket of eggs, and lots of happiness was spread around the campus. It was lots of fun and we can’t wait until next year🐣
